Skinny Bitch

By: Rory Freedman and Kim Barnouin
SKINNY BITCH is a no-nonsense guide to losing weight and getting healthy. The two authors don't hold back at all when detailing their plan, which centers around "not eating crap." Although their plan isn't exactly brain-science, they do a really good job of explaining why certain foods aren't good to eat and offer some pretty tasty alternatives. The only thing that made me a bit hesitant was that they insist that you stop eating meat and ALL meat products. To me, that seems a bit extreme. However, they do suggest you ease into it and add that it isn't impossible to do. They also expect you to exercise while on their "program," but encourage you not to worry about finding a gym because they made workout DVDs (that are exceptionally good). All-in-all I would have to say their plan makes sense. Another real benefit is that the author's seem really approachable, fun and believable. I would recommend this book to anyone who is interested in feeling and looking healthy. Even if you don't agree with everything they say, it's a pretty fun and enlightening read! Review by Sarah.
