A Plague Of Secrets

By: John Lescroart
Legal thriller by an author new to me, but with many titles to his credit. The experience shows; this is well plotted and well paced. A cut above the average thriller, I think. Wonderfully amusing characters, grounded in reality rather than wishful thinking. At least one of the secrets comes out of nowhere, and seems forced, but the rest are believable. Amusing "sidebars" on food, too. (Fiction) 08/10/09
