One of Pratchett's more recent “Discworld” novels, Going Postal is a fun romp featuring several new characters. Moist von Lipwig, confidence man and general trickster, is carefully hanged to an inch of his life; when he awakens, Vetinari "offers" him the position of Postmaster General, initiating a hilarious tale that occasionally has shades of gravity. Pratchett has been called the Douglas Adams of fantasy - but quite frankly, I’ve always preferred Pratchett's sense of humor. (Fiction) 08/09/09
