In the Heart of the Canyon

By: Elisabeth Hyde
For armchair travelers this is a great ride down the Colorado River. Very knowledgeable and vivid descriptions. Character development and plot seemed just a shade above YA. Flashes of humor are more mature. The multitude of characters lead to common flaws: you don't hear enough about the characters who are interesting to you, names are confusing, the diversity seems a bit contrived. Review by Muriel.
