Losing You

A mother's love knows no boundaries when Nina Landry's 15 year old daughter, Charlie, in Losing You goes missing. As Nina frantically tries to get the slow, methodical police to get a move on finding Charlie, Nina discovers that there were parts of her daughter's life she knew nothing about. Nina balances having her younger son, Jackson, stay safe with someone while she traces the route Charlie took earlier, delivering newspapers. Along the way, Nina finds that her daughter had a boyfriend (who is reluctant to get involved), and a young woman from another town who befriended Charlie when both took windsurfing classes. The police try to restrain Nina's efforts to search for Charlie, but Nina ignores their warnings. With persistent questioning, Nina is able is narrow her search. With the night drawing near, Nina finds not only Charlie, but the killer of Charlie's friend from the surfing class. Review by Jackie. (Fiction) 08/11/09
