As the publisher of a new book series for kids called "The Trunk in the Attic," I am always looking for new authors. I know many kids know about The Mysterious Benedict Society, but for those who don't, it is well worth the read. Kids are the heroes. These are the kids who don't play baseball or soccer or do cheerleading. The four lead characters come with their own skills that together lead to success. There is good and evil. And secret passages. And codes. All these elements lead to a satisfying conclusion. As an adult, read it yourself. Or share it with someone 9-13 years old. (Fiction) 07/13/09
