In the latest of the "Dresden Files," Butcher maintains, or perhaps even exceeds, the quality of his previous works. The Black Council increasingly emerges as a tangible threat as falsified evidence frames Morgan for murder. Morgan then runs to Harry for help, despite mutual antagonism, leading to the start of a fast paced adventure. Action scenes and one-liners abound, even as Butcher further explores his characters' psyches. A fast read - but resist the temptation to skim or you'll miss out on a lot. (Fiction) 07/07/09
