While My Sister Sleeps

By: Barbara Delinsky
This book portrays how a family deals with the tragic injury of their young adult daughter. The mother, who seems to live vicariously through her daughter, places the blame for the injury upon her younger daughter when, in fact, the younger daughter is the only person holding the fragile family situation together. This book is certainly not a cheerful read for the beach, but I appreciate the book's well-written language and realism. Review by Amy. (Fiction) 08/03/09
